The big Iowa meteor

A hundred years ago a meteor struck a farm and it changed central Iowa tourism forever. People reported seeing the meteor split into three parts before it hit and the largest piece buried its self under fourteen feet of Iowa topsoil. As soon as news of the event hit Chicago the largest museum in the area sent it’s people out to investigate. They dug the large rock out of the ground and offered the land owner a handsome sum of money for it. That started an immediate search by others in the area for the other two pieces. These were found and sold also.
