Types of fuses.
There are many types of automotive FUSES. There are mini fuses, atc fuses, max fuses, fuseable link fuses. All the different types of fuses function in a similar way. They are rated for so many amps. When the amp pull exceeds the rating on the fuse the fuse will blow. This is to protect your electrical components from getting damaged. Fuses are rated at 2,3,4,5,7.5,10,15,20,25,30 and so on amp ratings. Mini fuses go up to 30 amp, atc fuses go up to 40 amp, and max fuses go up to 100 amp. If you are going to pull mor than a 100 amps then a circuit breaker is a better fusing solution.
