Do you have business goals or wishes?
No matter how brilliant or successful an entrepreneur is, without clearly defined marketing goals that entrepreneur is bound to wander. If you have a vision without a clear set of goals to help you get there, how do you expect to make it? If you are not taking in as much money as you want to be, you may just have to clarify your vision and rethink your goals. If you have a vision of taking in a million dollars a year, that’s great, but how do you get there? It’s like if you want to go on vacation.
If you don’t know where you want to go or with whom, just that you want to take a couple days off, you’ll probably either end up at home or on the golf course which is fine, but may not be what you originally had in mind. However, if your vision for your vacation starts with a carefully selected destination, you will almost certainly make a list of ‘goals’ which will include reservations in certain towns, car rentals, attractions you would like to view, etc. Same thing applies to your small business. Clarify your vision and make a list of goals that will get you there.
