How Important is Chainsaw Safety Training?
Do any of your employees use chainsaws? If so, it is absolutely critical that they be taught how to safely use them. The importance of chainsaw safety training can not be overstated. Such horrible things as amputations, severe cuts, and lost eyes have resulted in the improper use of these tools. Educating your employees on the proper personal protective equipment, starting procedures, and proper use can save on the job injuries. It is also possible that the training they receive could save their life. Also, you do not want to forget to show the chainsaw user how to make proper fell cuts so the tree they are cutting doesn’t fall on them.
