Perks for Medical Convention
As a doctor, I am required to meet continuing educational requirements in order to keep my license to practice medicine current. Have you ever seen any television shows in which older doctors are so stuck in their ways that they make terrible or dangerous mistakes instead of newer methods? That pretty much sums up why we are forced to keep learning our trade while those in other professions can coast. At least there are some very nice perks for going to these medical conventions. I have taken home some great medical promotional electronics in addition to free coffees, gift baskets and other things.
