Prop 48 studies
Since the implementation of proposition 48 graduation rates of student athletes are continually one to two percent higher than that of the general student body. Whereas this rate was one to two percent lower previous to the enactment (NCAA). Graduation becomes a goal that the system of intercollegiate sport supports and encourages through this eligibility standard. A study I performed while working at the magic shop further solidifies this stand point as relevant and pertinent to society as a whole. We cannnot afford as a society to simply let go of Prop 48 while it’s benefits are all around us.
