How to Find a Debt Consolidation Loan When You Have Poor Credit

When you have a poor credit history it can be hard to do anything financial, including looking into debt consolidation. There are options for you however. Everything will be considerably easier if you have some kind of collateral (real estate is most common, but a vehicle is still fairly easy) to use for financing. This will make it much easier for companies to trust you and they’ll be much more interested in lending to you, and offer you more reasonable interest rates. There are still unsecured debt consolidation loans out there, but they will be harder to get and have higher rates. If that’s your only option, however, make sure to shop around and be upfront about your messy financial history so that you don’t waste anyone’s time—including your own.
