Apheresis Collection and the Handling of Biological Waste

When kidneys fail the body cannot rid the blood of toxins. This is one of the reasons dialysis is so important to those with little to no kidney function. The process of dialysis takes the blood, separates it and puts it back into the blood stream clean and fresh. After this is done there are biological waste materials left behind from the apheresis collection. This has to be handled and destroyed properly and according to the regulations set forth by the medical entities.
