Confidant Systems has just introduced a brand new mHealth application for managing type 2 diabetes. This innovative mHealth app for diabetes includes a GSM wireless device that connects to most glucometers in the market today and sends blood glucose readings over the cell phone network to Confidant Systems’ proprietary diabetes management software. Once blood glucose readings are stored into the system, they can be accessed and acted upon by care gives as well as from the system itself. The software can alert patients and care givers once certain thresholds are exceeded and such feedback can be delivered back to the patient via text or email messages.
