Physical fitness a way to good health
The problem is that most diet programs are way to complex for the average Joe. Sometimes, the diets are so convoluted that we give up half way through the exceedingly thick manual. The flaw of many of the Hollywood-style diets we see on TV and bookshelves in Borders is the sheer difficulty in keeping them. They expect everyone to be food scientists or at the least an accountant. One is expected to know how to identify complex food types, calculate calories, balance them, and on top of that, have the willpower to follow them through. To me, a program like that is doomed to failure from the start. The tedium of compliance makes it impossible for the average beer guzzling non-accountant Joe to win the battle of the bulge. The best way to good health is to do Physical fitness exercise.
