Anxiety And Morning Headaches
Although only a small number of people (between about 6% and 8% of the adult population) suffer from morning headaches, for those who do experience them on a fairly regular basic, they can be more than just a minor irritation. Morning headaches can be caused by all sorts of different things, most commonly some form of sleep disorder, and perhaps not surprisingly by anxiety. We all get anxious from time to time about various different things which can lead to a poor night’s sleep and a headache in the morning but this is not really the type of anxiety we are talking about here. In this case we are looking at an underlying form of anxiety disorder which can go on for years and for which treatment should be sought not just to cure your morning headaches but for your general wellbeing.
