Details On The Hip Replacement System Recall

DePuy Orthopaedics, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, recalled a popular hip because it was found out that one out of every eight patients needed a second surgery. This recall was announced after a sufficient review of available data. According to the company, the data indicated more people than expected experienced pain and symptoms that required for a revision surgery. This revision surgery is needed in order to remove or correct the defective hip implant.

Since the defective hip implants were caused by the manufacturer’s carelessness, lawsuits kept on filing. These lawsuits would determine the right Depuy Settlement to be given to the affected patients.
