Forget about the joneses and live your own life

If everyone was given the opportunity of buying for goods and paying using cash, very few people would end up overspending. The possibility of paying using a card has made people become very liberal. After all, they know that they will be paying for the goods at the end of the month when they will have enough money to cover the costs. What escapes their mind is that when you feel you have money, you may end up buying things that you don’t even need. Impulse buying has made many people end up broke as they cannot differentiate between a need and a want. Once they are presented with a long list of things they have to pay for, then they are struck by the multitude of mistakes they made. Crying foul over this cannot make the mistake disappear as this comes about because of ignoring the fine print while getting that credit card. Some people don’t even know the amount of interest they are supposed to pay. Even when the consumer credit protection talks about the financial institutions not being truthful, it still boils down to the person being ignorant of the profit that they are making from him. Taking a careful look at the money the bank is making while you squander money, you will become more observant and less carefree. credit debt is one thing that can cost you much more than a simple loss of money. When other institutions see your credit rating, they will not want to do business with you. You become a pariah that everyone avoids yet they are the ones who encouraged you before. You would rather pay for only that which you can afford at the moment and save yourself the grief.
