What are post payment reviews?

Companies that deal with large amounts of money often review cases in which they deal with. This is to insure that you have not made a mistake nor have they. The IRS (Internal Revenue Service) often preforms these in the form of an audit. The health insurance industry also performs a similar action called a post payment review. These are generally aimed at doctors offices to insure that the health insurance company has not handed out too much money. They require documentation to prove how much things have cost the doctor. IF the numbers don’t match up there may be a recall of the funds that were dispersed.
