Tippmann 98 Custom: A Few Woes
It’s quite impossible to accurately aim at 90-100 feet with the Tippmann 98 custom’s original barrel so upgrading them with a wicked sniper barrel like Tippmann Flatline will definitely allow you better accuracy at a longer range – this is that upgradeability advantage that gives you a fighting edge with this paintball marker. Another downside of the Tippmann 98 paintball weapon has something to do with its maintenance. Although it’s quite easy to clean up, it is not as easy as the Tippmann A5 as you have to remove all of the wrench screws and in the process – you’ll have to disassemble the complete unit to clean it up. After which, you can disassembling and start cleaning the marker. Yet, the hardships doesn’t stop there as reassembling is not an easy job as it involves a lot of tricks (use the manual for reassembling instructions) and is rather complicated. You can, however, remove the barrel easily for cleaning purpose. Just keep this in mind to motivate you while you clean things up: the Tippmann 98 custom will perform at its best with proper maintenance.
