Esbjerg – The City of the Sea

Passengers landing at Denmark’s Esbjerg Airport only have a nine kilometre journey to the city centre to get through once they arrive. There are a variety of transport options available should you need them. There is an airport bus service travelling from the airport to the railway station. Banegarden Station is handy for a number of the bigger Danish towns and cities. Situated on the south west tip of Denmark, Esbjerg is easily reached by much of Scandinavia and beyond via, land, sea and air. Why not consider car hire at Esbjerg Airport and explore all that Esbjerg has to offer and more besides. A thirty minute drive away is the popular historic town of Ribes. As well as Viking heritage, there is the wetlands nature reserve approaching Wadden Sea. Esbjerg, situated on the west coast of the peninsular of Jutland, with its own enigmatic harbour, has (not surprisingly) a rather strong seafaring character. Not only that, Denmark’s fifth largest city is additionally Denmark’s number one major North Sea harbour. I would say, if you are hate the sea, perhaps Aarhus would be a better fit than this sea obsessed city.
